Completed in late 2017, the Victorian Government selected GEO Consortium to deliver the Ravenhall Correctional Centre. The consortium included one of Australia’s leading construction contractors John Holland, and engineering firm Jacobs.

Designed to significantly improve the State prison system capacity, the 1,300 medium-security male prisoner facility serves many purposes such as enhancing community safety, securely and humanely containing prisoners, and reducing reoffending by providing programs and services.

With GEO’s contract containing a ‘payment by results’ component, based on improved reintegration outcomes and associated reductions, an alliance of community partners has also been integrated within the centre to contribute towards case management, project delivery and post-release outcomes.

As Victoria’s largest correctional centre, Shapeair is proud to have provided a range of air movement solutions including vandal resistant door grilles and custom engineered low, medium and high-security grilles on this project.
